Volunteer Firefighter Information

Thank you for your interest in joining the Estacada Fire District. Our goal is to keep our community safe by protecting life, property, and the environment. Volunteering requires a strong commitment to the department in helping protect our community and its residents. Estacada Rural Fire District is looking for motivated, dedicated, and professional people to help protect our community. 

We offer many different volunteer opportunities depending on the Districts needs at the time and the individuals capabilities. If you want to learn more about volunteering, please fill out the interest card below and we will get back to you as soon as possible.

Requirements

​

  • Must be 18 years of age

  • High School graduate or equivalent

  • Possess a valid Oregon Driver's License or ability to obtain within 30 days

  • Have an acceptable driving record

  • Pass a criminal background check

  • Pass a drug screen

  • Please note that we schedule academies in advance - we host 1 fire academy per year.

  • To be an active volunteer, in most cases may take 6 months to a year before being able to respond.

  • Intake and onboarding can take up to 90 days.

  • You may not get a response right away after filling out this form. This is likely due to the staffing schedule and or emergency activity of the district. Please be patient and we will get back to you.
