Apprentice Firefighter (6)
Estacada Fire District is looking to fill six Apprentice Firefighter positions and establish a rolling list to fill openings in the future for the continuation of the program. The apprentice firefighters play a pivotal role in the organization. These Firefighters will be assigned to A, B or C shift and will work a 48/96 schedule alongside career and volunteer firefighters. Apprentices can practice as competent EMS Providers and be proficient in fire ground tasks.

This is a combination fire district serving a community of approximately 6,000 citizens and runs about 1,700 calls for service annually. The town of Estacada is the hub of the fire district approximately 30 minutes southeast of the City of Clackamas, 45 minutes from downtown Portland and 45 minutes to skiing on Mt. Hood.
Estacada Fire District is a professional career and volunteer fire department that takes pride in in being a part of the community. Estacada Fire has great community support.
The Estacada Fire Station houses, 2 engines, 2 water tenders, brush engine, rescue, and staff vehicles. The George Station is a volunteer station housing an engine. The district also has a live fire training facility located next to the Estacada Station.
Program Requirements:

18 years of age or older

High School Diploma or GED ​

Maintain a minimum GPA

Have a valid Oregon Driver’s License

Ability to pass a medical physical, physical agility test, background and driving history check including drug screen.
