Your Home…Your Dreams…
What you do today…
May protect your home tomorrow!
Flying embers and creeping ground fires may ignite your home in a wildfire. You can help your home survive wildfire.
Reduce home and structure flammability:
-
Screen all openings, such as attic vents and areas under stairs or decks, with 1/8 inch non-corrosive metal mesh.
-
Use fire resistant roofing such as tile, composition, shingles or metal.
Reduce ignitable fuels around your home:
-
Remove all dead plants, trees, branches, and debris within 30 feet of your home.
-
Remove limbs hanging over your roof.
-
Store firewood 30 feet from your home.
-
Remove needles and leaves from gutters, roofs and decks.
