Estacada Rural Fire District Grants
The Fire District is constantly seeking grant funding opportunities
to reduce the cost of providing fire and life safety services for our
constituents. |

Station Generator, Thermal Imaging Camera and Training

granted $16,000 + through the Oregon Department of Forestry RFA/VFA
grant to purchase wildland equipment (foam equipment, nozzles, hose,
etc.) |

2006-07 - We have received $3,000 for the 2007 SDAO grant
to upgrade security at the fire stations and administration building. |

2006 - Fire Prevention and Safety Grant
Program - $27,500 for a Large Group Version - Sparky's Hazard House.
This prop will help us to teach larger groups about fire and life
safety. |

2006 - Assistance to Firefighters (FEMA) for
50 new sets of Turnouts, SCBA Breathing Air Compressor, Turnout dryer,
Accountability System, 2 - Gas Monitors. $137,000 + |

2005-06 - We are applying for the 2007 SDAO grant in the amount of $750
to fund the purchase of safety equipment. |

2006 - This is a continuation of the above mentioned Title III grant.
This grant was written to include fuels reduction projects. The
Clackamas County Fire Prevention Cooperative (www.ccfpc.org)
is a partner on this grant. |

2006 - We have been awarded $750 for the purchase of traffic safety
equipment through the Special Districts of Oregon Association (SDAO)
grant. |

2006 - Awarded $10,000 for a Zoll Heart
Monitor from the Oregon Health Division. |

2006 - A $8,700 has been applied for through the Hazardous Materials
Assistance Grant/(LEPX) as a collaborative effort between the four East
Clackamas County fire agencies. This will help fund much needed incident
command and hazardous materials courses for all 4 fire districts.

2006 - We applied for $80,000 through the FEMA Assistance to
Firefighters Grant to purchase new protective clothing for all line
personnel. This grant was not awarded. |

2005 - The Staffing for Adequate Fire and Emergency Response (SAFER)
grant provides funding for the hiring of career personnel and incentives
for volunteer recruitment and retention. |

|
2005 - The fire district applied for and was granted $10,000 through the
Oregon Department of Forestry RFA/VFA grant to purchase wildland
personal protective clothing for all personnel. |

|
2005 - We were awarded $30,000 to hire a person to construct and place
500 address signs, handout fire prevention materials and provide GIS
mapping information in the wildland interface areas of SE Porter and
Squaw Mountain Roads. This is a Title III grant that was awarded through
Clackamas County. |

2005 - We were awarded $1,800 to purchase an automatic external
defibrillator (AED) through the Rural Access to Emergency Devices grant. |

2005 - We applied for $20,000 and received $6,000 through the Hazardous
Materials Assistance Grant |

2005 - Grant money was requested through the FEMA Fire Prevention &
Safety Grant to add upon and improve our fire prevention and life safety

2005 - We applied for $184,643 through the FEMA Assistance to
Firefighters Grant to purchase new protective clothing for all line
personnel. This grant was not awarded. |

2004 - We received $152,490 through the Federal Emergency Management
Agency (FEMA) Assistance to Firefighters Grant for the replacement of
all self-contained breathing apparatus (SCBA) units. These are the units
that our firefighters use to breath clean air when in a hazardous
atmosphere. Some of this grant money was also used to purchase an air
monitoring system for our breathing air compressor, purchase new rapid
intervention team (RIT) bags and other SCBA accessories. |

2004 - We were granted $101,707 through the State Homeland Security to
replace all VHF radios and purchase cross-band systems that will allow
us to communicate with agencies (police & fire) that are on other radios
systems |

|
1996 - Applied for $12,000 to from the Meyer Memorial Trust to fund the
purchase of an aluminum jet sled to perform rescue work on the Clackamas
River. |
